Description

The HUNSC(Historical United Nations Security Council) is an advanced and specialized historical crisis committee wherein delegates step into the shoes of UNSC members and address past global crises. The catch is, that the delegates are sent back to a freeze date as of which the conflict is happening. What HUNSC does different from every other committee is that it focuses on rewriting history through rigorous debate, allowing delegates to dive deep into challenging issues that have had a huge impact on current geopolitics and the rest of the world. This is what makes it the best committee out there! Throughout the conference, delegates will face a building crisis, foundationing from reality, and will draft resolutions to solve it.

Delegates participating will build adaptability, thinking skills to think creatively and a new perspective on world affairs. They will be given the power and responsibility to shape the world and for the first time ever, fix the past! We wish to witness the most unique ideas and most unexpected alliances in the face of every pressing crisis update. And remember, the best friend a delegate can have in a historical committee is research. Any action or fact occurring after the given freeze date can land you in trouble! However, we can confidently say that HUNSC is the most exciting committee, characterized by a mixture of UNSC and crisis!

Vedant Bahri

Letter from the Chair

Dear Delegates,

Greetings, I am Vedant Bahri, your director for HUNSC! Despite MUNs, I’m an avid non-fiction reader and love reading about business, politics and current affairs. I lead a Robotics Club at my school, JBCN school Chembur. Moreover, I love playing football, defending Christiano Ronaldo’s controversial statements after his interviews and watching Rohit Sharma completely obliterate the opposition! My favourite series is Stranger Things, particularly the 5th season!

Delegates, I expect each one of you to research a lot and adapt to the foreign policies of the nations you have been assigned to. I can assure each and every one of you that you will enjoy this committee a lot. Kindly keep in mind the freeze date of this committee and prepare your speeches accordingly. Please speak up loud, your opinions really matter! Don’t be afraid of participation and respond to crises in such a way that it benefits you the most along with your committee! Best of Luck and Adios!

Ishaan Ankleshwariya

Letter from the Co-Chair

Dear Delegates,

I’m Ishaan Ankleshwaria, an active Model United Nations participant with experience as a delegate across multiple conferences. I have a strong interest in international affairs and believe MUNs provide a valuable platform to engage with global issues through structured debate and diplomacy. Representing different countries has helped me develop a broader perspective, strengthen my research and communication skills, and appreciate diverse viewpoints. MUNs have also been a meaningful way for me to connect with like-minded people and build lasting friendships.

As Co-Chair of the Historic United Nations Security Council (HUNSC), I was particularly drawn to this committee for its depth, complexity, and relevance. Discussing events such as 9/11 allows delegates to critically examine international security, diplomacy, and decision-making at pivotal moments in history.

As a chair, I aim to encourage respectful, well-structured debate while ensuring an inclusive environment where every delegate feels confident to participate. I look forward to a productive session filled with thoughtful discussion and realistic, impactful solutions and I hope to make this MUN a memorable experience for every delegate.
